Preventative Wellness visits are key to managing existing conditions and preventing new ones.
Annual Wellness visits are some of our highest priority. This includes Annual physicals, gynecological visits, Medicare Wellness visits and school physicals.

Annual Wellness
Based on your current health and risk factors, this preventative screening appointment takes place once a year to ensure that you are achieving your health and lifestyle goals

Well Child Visit
A regularly scheduled visit that ensures your child is meeting all health and developmental milestones and is given preventative screenings and treatment as they mature to adulthood
Women’s Wellness With Pelvic Exam
An annual wellness visit for women designed to ensure optimum gynecologic health. It involves reproductive and contraceptive counseling and preventative screenings such as PAP smears, clinical breast examination, and scheduling mammograms

Our providers meet you where you are in your medical journey to provide you with an individualized care plan
Skin Lesion Procedure
Our providers are trained to remove various skin lesions that may be causing you discomfort or cosmetic issues. They will make a small cut in your skin around the lesion. Any concerning lesions are sent to a lab to evaluate for benign or malignant skin conditions (i.e. skin cancer) to guide your care moving forward.
Medicare Annual Wellness
A requirement for Medicare Part B, this yearly exam focuses on evaluating activities of daily living and optimizing cognitive health while also considering other risk factors and current disease.
Sickness Visit
A visit designed to evaluate an acute illness (common cold, UTI, muscle/joint pain etc.) and develop a treatment plan to get you back on your feet as soon as possible
Circumcision Procedure
Our pediatricians are skilled at this quick in-office procedure to remove your baby’s foreskin. We ensure that your baby is swaddled and given pain medication during their visit, and you can stay right at the bedside with them for added comfort.

Botox for Migraine
Based on your migraine history, your provider may recommend a special visit with Dr. Michels for Botox injections. These small injections into 7 muscle groups in your head and neck over a series of weeks have been shown to improve headache symptoms
Cyst/Abscess Drainage
Our providers are specially trained to make a small incision in your skin to drain cysts/abscesses to evaluate and treat current infection, and prevent further infection from forming
Nexplanon Insertion
Dr. Michels is skilled at the insertion of this birth control method. A small rod is placed in your arm through an incision in your skin. Once in place, Nexplanon can be used to prevent pregnancy for up to 4 years.
Lesion Suture
Our providers will place small stitches in your skin to close open wounds
Foley Cath Placement
If you have issues with urinary retention, Dr. Michels may be able to assist you with the placement of a Foley catheter. A procedure done in the office that involves placing a flexible tube into your urethra to your bladder, where a tiny balloon is inflated to keep it in place. Your urine will then drain into a bag, and you will be educated on the cleaning and care of this new device.
Our Medical Assistants
Our medical assistants are well versed in performing many simple procedures and attending to your needs! Most care will occur at the time of your visit.
Here is a few of our MA’s hands on duties:

- Various shots and immunizations

- Vital signs/weight checks
- In-house Point of Care specimen collection and processing

Blood Draws
Your provider may on occasion order blood tests to evaluate and monitor your conditions. Our MAs are trained to collect these specimens and send them to the lab for results, which your provider will then explain to you at a later date.
Kenalog Shot for Allergies
A steroid injection given every 3 months to prevent the inflammatory response in your body caused by allergens. This injection ordered upon meeting the criteria.
EKG
A test ordered by your provider to evaluate the electrical health of your heart. It involves placing 9 stickers on your chest to give your provider 12 views of your heart’s electrical activity. They are evaluating both common and dangerous conditions such as atrial fibrillation, myocardial infarction (heart attack), and left ventricular hypertrophy as well as many others.
UTI Test
If you feel you are experiencing symptoms of a UTI such as burning with urination, frequency/urgency, foul or cloudy urine, you will provide us with a urine sample in a collection cup. It will be evaluated using a rapid test performed in the clinic, and if it is concerning for infection, we will begin treatment and send the specimen to a lab to culture the bacteria and better guide your care.
Child Immunizations
An easy and convenient way to ensure that your child is fully protected from the crippling and life-threatening effects of diseases such as polio, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and many others
Covid-19 Vaccine
We currently offer the Moderna vaccines to anyone 16 years of age or older and especially those with pre-existing conditions. It is a 2 dose series separated by 28 days. Please call the clinic main number and select option 3 to schedule your appointment.
COVID-19 Testing
We currently provide both Rapid Antigen testing and PCR molecular diagnostic testing at PFC! Both tests are performed by utilizing a nasopharyngeal swab and can be done in the office or outside in your vehicle. Covid testing appointments can be scheduled by clicking here or calling (928) 468-8603.
Rapid Testing
Not widely accepted for pre-procedure purposes, not as accurate as outside lab PCR, but you will get results within 10-15 minutes
Regular Testing
results usually back in 48-72 hrs
